How to Make Ivysaur Evolve in LeafGreen

In the Pokemon universe, Ivysaur is the evolved form of Bulbasaur and can evolve into Venusaur after reaching level 32. Pokemon gain experience in battles and, when they gain enough experience, increase a level. Evolved Pokemon are typically much stronger than their previous forms and more useful in battle.

Instructions

- 1
  Press "start" to access the Pokemon menu and place Ivysaur at the top of your roster. This will make Ivysaur your default starter Pokemon in battle.

  Engage in battles by either walking in tall grass or in front of rival Pokemon trainers. Walking in tall grass initiates battles with wild Pokemon. Rival Pokemon trainers will challenge you on sight, though they will only fight you once.

  Use Ivysaur to win battles. Each battle you win using Ivysaur will increase his experience.

  Continue using Ivysaur in battle until he reaches level 32 and automatically evolves into Venusaur.
