How Can I Get a Sudowoodo in Pokemon Diamond?

Sudowoodo is a rock-type Pokemon resembling a tree. Traditionally in Pokemon games, Sudowoodo blocks paths while pretending to be a tree. Spraying it with water causes it to run away in fear. In "Pokemon Diamond," Sudowoodo cannot be caught in the wild. Its lower evolutionary form, Bonsly, can be caught in the Trophy Garden of Pokemon Mansion. Bonsly will evolve into Sudowoodo once it levels up while knowing the move "Mimic."

Instructions

  Obtain the National Pokedex by encountering every Pokemon native to the Sinnoh region.

  Fly to Hearthome City.

  Walk south, leaving town. Enter the Pokemon Mansion, located along the east side of the route.

  Walk into Mr. Backlot's office, which is the only room on the right side when you enter the building.

  Save your game.

  Talk to Mr. Backlot. He will tell you about stocking his garden with rare Pokemon. If the Pokemon he mentions is not Bonsly, reset the game and try again until he chooses Bonsly.

  Walk through the middle door to get to the Trophy Garden.

  Walk around in the grass until Bonsly appears. Fight it and catch it in a Pokemon battle.

  Level up Bonsly. It will learn Mimic at Level 17. Make sure you teach Mimic to your Bonsly or it will not be able to evolve into Sudowoodo.

  Level it up once more after it has learned Mimic and it will evolve into Sudowoodo.
