How to Get Through Sprout Tower in SoulSilver

In "Pokemon: SoulSilver" for the Nintendo DS, you will battle many trainers, criminals and wild Pokemon. At Sprout Tower, you must face off against a series of sages in before ultimately challenging Elder Li to a Pokemon battle. To reach Sprout Tower, head north from the gym in Violet City and cross two bridges.

Instructions

- 1
  Enter the tower and climb the ladder. Follow the path on the second floor that veers to the right to encounter the first sage and battle his Pokemon Bellsprout. Bellsprout is weak against flying and fire-type attacks.

  Climb down a nearby ladder. Pick up a Paralyz Heal and battle a second sage. Again, you must defeat Bellsprout.

  Head up another ladder back to the second floor to get an X Accuracy item. Go back down and then move south to encounter a third sage. Bellsprout is your foe onc again.

  Move to the right and climb a ladder to reach the third floor. Pick up a potion just to the left and then move toward the nearby sage. You must defeat three of them in quick succession. The first two only have the Bellsprout Pokemon while the third one has a slightly stronger Bellsprout and Hoothoot. This latter enemy is vulnerable to electric and ice-type moves.

  Go left after defeating the third sage. Speak to the first sage you see and then talk to the old man, Elder Li. You must defeat Bellsprout and Hoothoot again to win the battle.

  Grab the Escape Rope in the right corner of the room after defeating Elder Li, who gives you the Flash ability. Use the Escape Rope to return to the entrance to Sprout Tower and head back to Violet City.
