How to Chat on Black & White

"Pokemon Black" and "Pokemon White" were released for the Nintendo DS in 2011. One new feature on "Black" and "White" is the ability to chat with your friends using audio and video chat. Using the built-in camera on the Nintendo DSi and DSi XL, you are able to chat with any friend with whom you have exchanged friend codes with. Your picture will be displayed on the top screen of the Nintendo DSi as you chat. If you only have a Nintendo DS or DS Lite, you can still chat via audio chat and see a picture sent from the DSi, but cannot transmit your own picture.

Instructions

  Travel to any Pokemon Center in any city. The Pokemon Center is easily identified as the only building with a bright red roof and a Pokeball on it.

  Enter the Pokemon Center and walk up the stairs to the second floor.

  Speak to the woman behind the middle counter.

  Select "Go to Wi-Fi Club." You will be connected with your friends and placed in the Wi-Fi Club.

  Press "A" next to your friend's character.

  Select "Voice Chat" for voice only chat or "Xtransceiver" for video and voice chat. You may connect with three players total in this way. Your friends are displayed in real-time on the top screen of your Nintendo DS.
