Getting the Update Files
Find the Acekard update files specific to your version of the Acekard (either Acekard, Acekard 2 or Acekard 2i for DSi and 3DS) on your computer.
Download the update files.
Extract the update files if they were downloaded in a zipped folder.
Copying the Files
Plug the Acekard's MicroSD card or USB into the MicroSD adapter or USB adapter on your computer.
Open the external drive's folder by finding it in the list of drives in the Computer or My Computer list.
Drag the update file folder to the root directory of the MicroSD card or USB and overwrite the files if necessary.
Unplug the MicroSD card from the MicroSD adapter or USB adapter and plug it into the Acekard.
Plug the Acekard into the Nintendo DS.
Updating the Acekard
Turn on the Nintendo DS by pressing the Power button.
Select the Acekard icon on the main menu to load the Acekard software.
Update the files as necessary if the software prompts you to do so (for instance, pressing the Start button to proceed with the installation). On newer Acekard software like the Acekard 2i, this software will not update automatically and you will need to follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update process.
Restart the DS system if prompted and allow the software to update the firmware by connecting to the internet. This will complete the update process and your Acekard will now be updated to the newest version.
