Listen to the narrator and read all text in the game. These provide an introduction, background story, special tips and clues. At each level, the narrator will provide clues to the location of objects.
Use the stylus or controller buttons at the bottom of the screen to move the cursor. Tap an object on the screen with the stylus to collect it. Use the control pad to move a magnifier around the screen. The game uses both buttons and a touch screen.
Collect items to move through each level. These items are hidden in different settings. Sometimes, the screen is dark and you must use a flashlight, searching only small segments of the screen. Some objects can be seen only with special goggles that you will find in the game.
Talk with suspects in the different levels to learn what they know. Each suspect's home, workplace or neighborhood is a level with hidden clues. The clues are listed; this will help you find the missing objects.
Play the mini-games to advance to each new level. The mini-games include jigsaw puzzles, sliding- picture puzzles and treasure hunts. They are designed to more fully incorporate the touch screen features of the DS system.
