How to Evolve Tyrogue Into Three Forms in Pokemon

"Pokemon Platinum" was released for the Nintendo DS in 2009. While most Pokemon evolve from one form to another, some Pokemon, including Tyrogue, can evolve into three potential forms. At level 20, Tyrogue can evolve into either Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee or Hitmontop. Which form Tyrogue evolves into is based on his attack and defense statistics.

  Tap "Pkmn" on the bottom screen. Tap "Tyrogue" to view his statistics. His attack and defense statistics are located next to the "Attack" and "Defense," the second and third entries, respectively.

  Raise Tyrogue's attack higher than its defense for it to evolve into Hitmonlee at level 20. Use the "Iron" item, available for purchase from the Veilstone Department Store for $9,800, to raise Tyrogue's defense statistic. The statistic will be raised anywhere from one to three points per Protein used.

  Raise Tyrogue's defense higher than its attack for it to evolve into Hitmonchan at level 20. Use the "Protein" item, available for purchase from the Veilstone Department Store for $9,800, to raise Tyrogue's attack statistic. The statistic will be raised anywhere from one to three points per Protein used.

  Raise Tyrogue's attack and defense statistic to the same amount for it to evolve into Hitmontop. Use both the "Iron" and "Protein" items to ensure that, upon reaching level 20, they will be of equal value.
