How to Get Kyogre in Soul Silver

Kyogre is a legendary water-type Pokemon that appeared as the mascot for "Pokemon: Sapphire." Players who obtain the National Pokedex and obtain one of Kanto's starter Pokemon from Professor Oak are given an orb to access Groudon or Kyogre, depending on the version of their game. Once a player obtains both Pokemon, he can catch Rayquaza. Players with "Pokemon: SoulSilver" can only fight Groudon. They cannot catch Kyogre by any normal means and are only able to obtain it through trading.

Instructions

  Obtain the National Pokedex by encountering every Pokemon native to the Johto region.

  Fly to Goldenrod City.

  Enter the Global Terminal building on the far west side of the town.

  Walk up to the counter in the northwest corner of the building. Talk to the lady behind the counter to access the Global Trade Station.

  Select Kyogre from the list of Pokemon. A list of players who want to trade their Kyogre and the Pokemon they want in return will appear in the window. Scan through the trades until you find one that meets your terms and accept the trade. You will receive your new Kyogre in a matter of seconds.
