How to Get Taillow in ''SoulSilver''

If you're looking for a new feathered friend to add to your team in "Pokemon SoulSilver," consider tracking down Taillow. Taillow is difficult to find in this game. Taillow can only be obtained after learning a special, hidden move. After learning the move, there is just one location in the region where a Taillow is found. You'll need to find Taillow and add his information to the Pokedex if you wish to fully complete the game.

Instructions

  Walk west from Azalea Town until you enter Ilex Forest. Travel through the forest until you reach a path that forks left and right.

  Take the right path, and continue walking until you see a man running into a tree. Speak to the man, and he offers to teach any Pokemon in your team the Headbutt move.

  Select a Pokemon to learn the Headbutt move. If the Pokemon knows more than four moves, one of those moves must be deleted to learn Headbutt.

  Teach HM08, Rock Climb, to one of your Pokemon. You obtain this move after collecting all 16 badges in the game. Once you have the badges, go to Pallet Town, and speak to Professor Oak in his lab. You are rewarded with Rock Climb.

  Go to Cherrygrove City. Enter the water, and surf northwest. As you surf, you find a small beach with a ledge above it. Land on the beach.

  Face the rocky ledge, and press "A" to climb it with Rock Climb. Turn towards the bottom-left tree. Press "A," and select "Yes" to use Headbutt on it. Taillow comes out to battle you.

  Throw a PokeBall at Taillow after lowering its HP. If the Poke Ball is able to hold Taillow without breaking, the Pokemon is added to your Pokedex.
