How to Get the Map App on Pokemon Diamond

"Pokemon Diamond" was released for the Nintendo DS in 2007. The Poketech, displayed on the bottom screen of your Nintendo DS during gameplay, is a device with many functions. For example, it can be a clock, an item finder or a map of the game world. When you first receive the device, it is limited in the functions it can perform. However, as you progress through the game, new features will be unlocked at key points in the story. You can only get the Marking Map application for your Poketech device once you have received the third gym badge.

  Travel to Jublife City.

  Enter the Poketech building on the left-side of town. It is a large building with two doors and the words "The Poketech Company" written on a signpost outside.

  Press "A" next to the man at the desk, on the right-side of the building. If you have received the third gym badge, he will give you the "Marking Map" application.

  Tap the "Up" or "Down" arrow on the bottom screen of your Nintendo DS to cycle through the Poketech apps until the "Marking Map" is selected. This map will show you the location of any legendary Pokemon you have encountered.
