How to Use Shields in Spirit Tracks

"The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks" was released for the Nintendo DS in 2009. Like all "Zelda" games, the hero uses many weapons throughout his journey, from offensive weaponry such as swords and bows and arrows, to defensive weaponry such as shields. You do not start with any of these weapons. Most of them are found and some, like the shield, must be purchased. Once bought, the shield is automatically deployed if you are in danger.

Instructions

  Earn rupees by defeating enemies and opening treasure chests. A shield costs 80 to 200 rupees, depending on the location you purchase it from.

  Purchase a shield from any shop. The cheapest shields are in Castle Town shops and cost 80 rupees. Once purchased, the shield is automatically equipped.

  Face the enemy who is attacking you. The shield will automatically block most attacks - including rocks, arrows and sword slashes - when you face the direction of the attack.
