How to Get Munchlax on Pokemon Diamond for DS

The Nintendo DS game "Pokemon Diamond" introduces new features to players already familiar with the original Pokemon gameplay, including a new 3D interface and new Pokemon to catch. While most Pokemon can be caught in tall grass, caves and water, Munchlax is a rare, new Pokemon that can only be found by slathering honey trees with honey.

Instructions

  Go to the Floaroma Flower Field in Floaroma Town. Purchase some sweet honey from the merchant standing near the entrance for 100 PokeDollars each.

  Approach the golden yellow tree that is near the honey merchant. Press "A" to slather honey over the tree. Each attempt to find Munchlax by slathering honey on a honey tree will use up one jar of honey.

  Wait approximately 12 hours in game time before returning to the honey tree. If it is shaking, a Pokemon is in the tree. If the tree is empty, repeat steps 1 to 3 until you find a Pokemon.

  Press "A" in front of the honey tree to enter into battle with the Pokemon. The Pokemon that you encounter will be random. If it is not Munchlax, repeat steps 1 to 4 until Munchlax appears.

  Battle Munchlax to lower its hit points and throw a Pokeball at it to capture it.
