How to Get a Tyrogue in Pokemon SoulSilver

"Pokemon SoulSilver" along with its counterpart "Pokemon HeartGold" are Nintendo DS remakes of the "Silver" and "Gold" Pokemon titles for Gameboy Color. Starting out in the town of New Bark, players must catch and train special creatures called Pokemon in order to become the best battler in the world. One of the creatures available in the game is Tyrogue, which is a fighting-type Pokemon which can evolve into one of three different forms. To get a Tyrogue, players have to find and battle the Karate King.

Instructions

  Travel to Mt. Mortar, which is situated between Mahogany town and Ecruteak City at the center of the Johto map.

  Enter Mt. Mortar from the middle entrance, then follow the path until you reach the basement area.

  Walk up to Karate King, who is standing in the basement area. He was the leader of the fighting dojo in Saffron. Stand in front of him and press the action button in order to initiate a conversation and challenge him to a battle.

  Beat Karate King in battle. He has a Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan that are at level 38, so if you have flying or psychic Pokemon in your group, it should be an easy battle. After his defeat, Karate King will give you a level 10 Tyrogue as a reward.
