How to Send Mail in Pokemon Pearl

Nintendo released "Pokemon Pearl" in 2006 for the Nintendo DS. The game revolves around fighting and capturing Pokemon, of which there are hundreds in the game. Not all of the Pokemon are roaming the world of "Pearl," though. To get some of the rarer ones, players must trade with other players who have "Diamond" or "Platinum." While trading, they can send messages to each other via mail. They can write semi-custom messages on the mail by gathering phrases from an old man in Snowpoint.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to a Pokemart and purchase mail. Pokemarts are located in every city, such as Jubilife or Floaroma.

    • 2

Travel to Snowpoint City, which is located east of Lake Acuity.

    • 3

Speak to the old man in the northeastern house. Every day, he gives you a new phrase.

    • 4

Open your inventory and use the mail. A blank message appears on screen. You cannot write your own content, but instead must choose from the phrases the old man has taught you.

    • 5

Equip the mail to the Pokemon you want to trade.

    • 6

Go to Jubilife City, which is south on Route 204, north on Route 202, west on Route 203 and east on Route 218.

    • 7

Enter The Global Trade Station, which is in the southwestern corner of town.

    • 8

Speak with the receptionist. She'll ask if you want to trade. Tell her "Yes."

    • 9

Select the Pokemon you want to trade and the Pokemon that you'd accept in return. When another player accepts your offer, he'll receive your Pokemon and the mail equipped to it.
