How to Get a Metagross in Pokemon Pearl

In "Pokemon Pearl," one of your objectives is to gather as much information as you can on each species of Pokemon, a task that involves building a collection of creatures. You won't be able to obtain every Pokemon simply by encountering them around the region. For example, Metagross, a Steel and Psychic-type Pokemon, never appears in the wild. Instead, you'll have to capture a Beldum and train it until it evolves into the desired species.

Instructions

  Defeat the Elite Four and collect 150 Pokemon entries in the Sinnoh Pokedex.

  Travel to Sandgem Town and visit Professor Rowan. Professor Oak will arrive and give you the National Pokedex.

  Visit Dawn's house in Sandgem Town. (If you chose a female protagonist, Dawn is replaced with Lucas.) Dawn's sister will keep you updated on what Pokemon species are appearing in swarms. Talk to her every day until she says Beldum are swarming.

  Travel to Route 228, an area in northern Sinnoh. Walk around the grass until you encounter a Beldum.

  Lower Beldum's health and inflict a status ailment, such as Sleep or Paralysis.

  Capture the Pokemon with a PokeBall.

  Place Beldum in your Pokemon party and train it to level 20. It will evolve into a Metang.
- 8
  Raise Metang to level 45. It will evolve into a Metagross.
