How to Catch Shinx in HeartGold

Shinx is an electric-type Pokemon that is native to the Sinnoh region. It evolves into Luxio at Level 15 and Luxray at Level 30. Since Shinx is not native to the Kanto or Johto regions found in "Pokemon: HeartGold," it can only be encountered when the Sinnoh Sound is playing on the Pokemon Music Channel of the Pokegear. The Pokemon Music Channel is channel 7.5 on the Pokegear's radio.

Instructions

- 1
  Talk to the quiz show host in the radio tower in Goldenrod City. He will upgrade your Pokegear so you can access the radio channel.

  Obtain the National Pokedex by encountering every Pokemon native to the Johto region.

  Wait for Thursday. Set the radio to channel 7.5. This channel plays a remixed version of theme music from "Pokemon: Diamond" and "Pokemon: Pearl" on Thursdays only.

  Travel to any one of these routes in the Johto region: 29, 33, 36, 37, 38, 39, 46, 48 or the National Park.
- 5
  Walk around in the grass until a Shinx appears. Shinx has a 40 percent chance of appearing.
