How to Dismiss a Follower in Pokemon Pearl

"Pokemon Pearl" was released on the Nintendo DS in 2007. The game is one of many in the successful franchise that sees players collecting followers (Pokemons), which can then be used in combat to collect more Pokemons. While you are unable to officially dismiss a Pokemon from your collection, you can leave it in the Day Care Center so that it is no longer part of your group.

      Go to Solaceon Town. Walk past the Pokemon Center and head north-west to the house that has an old man outside it.

      Enter the Day Care Center and talk to the old lady. Select the Pokemon you wish to leave when she asks you to choose one from your collection.

      Leave the Day Care Center; if you wish to permanently leave them behind, do not pick them up. If you wish to pick them up at a later stage, return and pay a fee for their growing procedure while you have been away.
