How to Get Tyrogue in HeartGold

The Nintendo DS game "Pokemon Heart Gold" was released in 2009 and is a remake of the 1999 "Pokemon Gold" game. In this game, you play the role of a new trainer who wanders around attempting to acquire new Pokemon characters in various ways. Tyrogue is level 10 and Pokemon number 236 and is available only as a gift from "The Karate King," who can be found in Mt. Mortar.

Instructions

  Begin a game and locate Route 42 on the map. If you're just starting, you'll be positioned on Route 42.

  Walk down Route 42 until you reach Mt. Mortar. You will recognize Mt. Mortar as a large mountain which is labeled with its name.

  Enter Mt. Mortar through the middle entrance.

  Walk down the path until you reach the basement level of the mountain.
- 5
  Click on "The Karate King" to speak to him and challenge him to a battle. If you're able to defeat The Karate King, he will give you a Pokemon -- the Tyrogue.
