How to Get a Mantine in Pokemon Pearl

When a Pokemon evolves, it takes on a new shape and learns new abilities. "Pokemon Pearl" includes many different ways of evolving your Pokemon, from the standard way of evolving by gaining levels to special conditions such as using an item. Mantine, the evolved form of Mantyke, evolves in a way no other Pokemon does, requiring another Pokemon to be present in order to evolve.

Instructions

  Capture a Mantyke and a Remoraid, if you do not already have them. Mantyke can be found while surfing at either Route 223 or Sunyshore City. Remoraid can be found by fishing with the Good Rod at Routes 213, 222, 223, 224 or 230, or at Pastoria City, Sunyshore City or the Pokemon League.

  Place both Mantyke and Remoraid in your Pokemon lineup. Your Pokemon lineup can be changed from the PC in any Pokemon Center.

  Battle other wild Pokemon and trainers using Mantyke to gain experience. When the experience bar located underneath Mantyke's name in battle is full, he will level up. With a Remoraid in your party, Mantyke will automatically evolve into Mantine upon gaining a level.
