How to Evolve Piloswine Into Mamoswine in HeartGold

In "Pokemon: HeartGold," Piloswine is a combination Ice and Ground-type Pokemon. These large, furry beasts are usually found hiding in caves and other cold areas. Piloswine can evolve into Mamoswine, a far more powerful Pokemon equipped with brutal physical attacks. Evolving a Piloswine into a Mamoswine is relatively straightforward and may even occur accidentally.

Instructions

  Find a Heart Scale. These items are hidden all over the world in "Pokemon: HeartGold" but are commonly found in smashed rocks or held by enemies.

  Take your Piloswine to the move tutor's house in Blackthorn City.

  Speak with the move tutor and trade your Heart Scale to him. He will allow you to teach one of your Pokemon a new move.

  Select your Piloswine as the new move recipient and choose the ability "Ancient Power." Click "Teach" to finalize this ability.

  Level your Piloswine up to level 34. This can be done through combat or by using a Rare Candy. As long as he knows Ancient Power, he will evolve into Mamoswine when this level gain occurs.
