How to Use a DSI Card

The Nintendo DSi was released in 2009, and is an upgrade to the Nintendo DS and DS Lite. The DSi includes new features such as DSi Shop, a camera and the ability to use any SD card for memory. The memory card can be used to store any downloadable games or applications purchased through the DSi Shop. When your DSi is running low on space, you can copy your programs to the SD card, and vice versa.

Instructions

      Open the tab labeled "SD Card" on the right side of the Nintendo DSi.

      Insert the SD card with the label facing down into the Nintendo DSi.

      Tap "System Settings" on the main menu of the DSi, located on the bottom screen.

      Tap "Data Management."

      Tap the program in "System Memory" you want to transfer.

      Tap "Copy." Tap "Yes." The game or application will be transferred to the SD card.

      Tap "SD Card."

      Tap the program you wish to transfer to the Nintendo DSi. Tap "Copy" followed by "Yes" to transfer it to the Nintendo DSi.

      Open the SD card slot and push the SD card in to pop the card out of the slot. Pull the card out to remove it.
