How to Find Giratina in Pokemon Platinum

The mascot of "Pokemon Platinum" is Giratina, a Dragon- and Ghost-type Pokemon with the ability to travel between dimensions. Giratina is also the only species that learns Shadow Force, a Ghost-type attack. There is only one Giratina in the game, and you have a chance to capture it after you've defeated Team Galactic at the Veilstone City headquarters. Adding Giratina to your team will aid you in your quest to become a Pokemon Master.

Instructions

  Travel to the nearest PokeMart and stock up on healing items and UltraBalls.

  Go to Mt. Coronet and climb to Spear Pillar, the mountain's summit.

  Defeat the Galactic Commanders Mars and Jupiter in battle. Your rival will aid you in combat. Afterward, Cyrus, the leader of Team Galactic, will summon Dialga and Palkia, two legendary Pokemon; however, Giratina will also appear and pull Cyrus into a vortex.

  Enter through the vortex to Distortion World with Cynthia, the Pokemon League Champion.

  Follow after Cynthia to travel through the warped landscape of Distortion World.

  Defeat Cyrus near the end of the dungeon. Afterward, Cynthia will heal your Pokemon team.

  Travel north from area where you battled Cyrus. You will encounter Giratina.
