How to Get Into Blackthorn City From Mahogany Town in Pokemon HeartGold

"Pokemon HeartGold" is a remake of the popular "Pokemon Gold" version, which features improved graphics in 3D, new quests and a PokeWalker gadget. Although "Pokemon HeartGold" boasts many new features, the setting is still the same as in the old version. Traveling from one city to the other mostly requires you to pass through routes and caves that connect the cities together.

Instructions

- 1
  Fly to Mahogany Town. Head east onto Route 44. There are a total of 7 trainers to fight and 3 new items to acquire. You may battle and catch rare Pokemon such as Lickitung and Weepinbell in the wild patch of grass on Route 44.

  Walk to the eastern part of the route and go up the northern staircase. Walk east, fight the trainer and enter the Ice Path. You may encounter new wild Pokemon in the Ice Path, such as Swinub and Jynx.

  Cross through the ice puzzles in the Ice Path. The Ice Path requires some logical thinking in order to get through. To finish a puzzle, you must slide around on the ice until you reach the opening.

  Exit the Ice Path through the southern exit to reach Blackthorn City.
