How to Get a Riolu Egg in Soul Silver

"Pokemon SoulSilver" was released for the Nintendo DS in 2010. In addition to catching Pokemon, you can also breed them. Breeding allows you to create specific Pokemon. This can be useful if you want to raise a certain Pokemon from a low level or trade a specific type of Pokemon that you own without having to find another one. Some Pokemon may even have a different form when bred. For example, breeding a Lucario will not net you another Lucario, but a Riolu, his previous evolution form. You will need a female Lucario in order to receive a Riolu egg, as the breed is dependent on the female Pokemon.

     Travel to Goldenrod City.

     Exit the city using the southern entrance. The daycare will be immediately to your left upon entering Route 34.

     Speak to the woman inside.

     Select a female Lucario and a male humanshape Pokemon from your Pokemon lineup. For example, Medicham, Mr. Mime or Machop would all be compatible with Lucario.

     Walk 256 steps anywhere in the game world. Enter the daycare again and speak to the woman inside. She will return your Pokemon to you in addition to giving you a Riolu egg.

     Walk 6400 steps for the egg to hatch. You will then receive a level 1 Riolu.
