How to Get 493 Master Balls in Diamond & Pearl

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl features more than 10 "Legendary" Pokemon, noted for their difficult and abnormally low "catch rate." Catching these Pokemon requires trainers to adequately prepare their "team" with the right attacks in order to weaken the Legendary Pokemon enough to catch them with any Pokeball. A "Master Ball" has a 100 percent catch rate, ideal for catching stationary and "roaming" Legendary Pokemon; using an Action Replay with your Pokemon Diamond or Pearl game ensures you'll have an "endless" supply of Master Balls to catch any Legendary Pokemon.

Instructions

  Plug your Action Replay DS USB, or Universal Serial Bus, cable into the computer after inserting your Pokemon Diamond or Pearl game and Action Replay DS into your Nintendo DS console.

  Start your Action Replay Code Manager software. Move your cursor to the "Subscriptions" menu at the right side of the screen. Clicking the menu reveals a large set of game code folders.

  Click and drag the Pokemon Diamond or Pearl cheat code subscription to the bottom-right "My Codelists" window. Right-click the Pokemon codes folder and select "Add New Cheat." Type or copy and paste your new code into the "New Cheat" window. The Action Replay code "94000130 FDFF0000 B21C4D28 00000000 B0000004 00000000 94000130 FEFF0000 00000890 01ED0001 D0000000 00000000 DA000000 00000892 DC000000 00024620 C0000000 0000000B D7000000 00000000 DC000000 00000006 D2000000 00000000" allows trainers to get 493 Master Balls.

  Save your newly entered cheat code and drag your modified Pokemon code folder over to the "Nintendo DS" window. Select "Yes" when prompted to overwrite the older version of your Pokemon code list. Exit the Action Replay DS Code Manager, disconnect your Nintendo DS from your computer and start your game.

  Press the "L" and "R" buttons together to activate the code in-game. Check your "Items" or "Balls" compartment in your bag to find 493 Master Balls. Throw away the amount of Master Balls required to reach your desired Pokemon's National Pokedex number. Exit the menu and head into a patch of grass.

  Hold the "L" button and walk around until you encounter the Pokemon generated by triggering the Action Replay code. Use your Master Ball to capture the Pokemon; press the "L" and "R" button to get 493 Master Balls again, repeating the process again if desired.
