How to Find Your PAL Code for SoulSilver

"Pokemon: SoulSilver" players are assigned a "PAL Code," also known as a "Friend Code." The 12-digit code lets players identify other online players. Once two players recognize and accept codes, they can engage in Pokemon battles and trade Pokemon over Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection. Players can register their collected codes in a "Pal Pad," which is also how to find out their own code.

Instructions

  Beat Falkner, the first gym leader, in the Violet City gym. Falkner uses flying-type Pokemon.

  Enter any Pokemon Center in any major town.

  Take the escalator in the front-right part of the building to the basement.

  Talk to the lady behind the counter. She will give you a "Pal Pad."

  Press the "Select" button on the Nintendo DS. Tap the "Bag" icon on the touch screen. Highlight the Pal Pad in your inventory and press "Use."

  Write down the number that appears on the screen. This is your "Friend Code."
