How to Get a Magnet Pass in Soul Silver

The Magnet Pass is a key item in the "Pokemon HeartGold" and "Pokemon SoulSilver" games for the Nintendo DS. It allows the player to ride the Magnet Train back and forth between Goldenrod City in Johto and Saffron City in Kanto. This eliminates the need to take the longer route through Tohjo Falls. In "Pokemon SoulSilver," players can obtain the Magnet Pass from the Copycat Girl in Saffron City after retrieving a certain lost item.

Instructions

- 1
  Fly to Saffron City and enter the Copycat House located near the top of the Silph Co. building. Go upstairs and talk to the Copycat Girl.

  Fly to Vermilion City and enter the Pokemon Fan Club. Speak to the portly man sitting at the table to obtain a "Lost Item," which is actually a Clefairy Doll. Exit the building, and Steven will approach you.

  Listen to Steven's speech about a Latios sighting and fly back to Saffron City. Present the "Lost Item" to the Copycat Girl, and she will give you a Magnet Pass.
