How to Get Darkrai in Pokemon Platinum Without Action Replay

The cheat device "Action Replay" lets trainers access many unobtainable Pokemon, like the Dark Legendary "Darkrai." Without using an Action Replay, trainers can capture Darkrai with the help of a "Key Item" called the "Member's Card." Trainers with Pokemon "Platinum" downloaded the Member's Card to their game in Fall 2009 to gain access to a "Canalave City" Inn. If you have a copy of Pokemon Platinum with the Member's Card, here's how to finally catch Darkrai.

Instructions

  Complete the in-game "Cresselia" event after receiving your National Pokedex. Go inside a house near the southwestern side of Canalave City's port and talk to the bedridden child and his mother. Leave the house, and talk to the sailor; select "yes" to go to Fullmoon Island.

  Walk through the maze-like path to reach a multicolored Pokemon in the clearing ahead. Talk to Cresselia to record her image for the National Pokedex; when she flees, go to the area where she sat and press the "A" button to claim the "Lunar Wing" from the Pokeball. Bring the Lunar Wing back to the house, where you can use it to heal the bedridden child.

  Go to the Inn in the northeastern part of Canalave City and accept the innkeeper's invitation. Walk up the cliffs, following a western path to a clearing, where a dark Pokemon awaits. Approach Darkrai and press the "A" button to initiate battle with the Pokemon. Capture Darkrai with any Pokeball you desire after weakening its health. (Using a "Master Ball" lets trainers instantly capture a Pokemon regardless of its health.)
