Exchange your Friend Code with other trainers online. Your Pal Pad, found in all fourth generation Pokemon games, holds your Friend Code. Post a request for Deoxys on a Pokemon forum that encourages online trades. Specify your preferences for a "hacked," "cloned" or "legit" Deoxys. Some trainers prefer "legit," or officially distributed Pokemon, over Pokemon created through a "cheat" device, such as a hacked or cloned Pokemon. Try offering different types of Pokemon other trainers may like. Exchanging other "Legendary" Pokemon usually works, especially if you're looking for Deoxys.
Set up your Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. After starting up the game, highlight and select "Nintendo WFC," then select "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings" on the setup menu. Tap any of the available slots and choose "Search for an Access Point" to begin setup. Choose your Wi-Fi network name from the active list, entering in your Wired Equivalency Privacy (WEP) key if there's a red lock next to the name. Select "OK" and perform a connection test. Return to the main menu, rebooting the game to the start screen.
Enter the nearest Pokemon Center after starting your game. Head downstairs to the Wi-Fi counter and save your game. Wait for the Wi-Fi connection to establish and access the Nintendo Wi-Fi menu when prompted. Select the name and icon of the person waiting to trade. A trainer's icon and name appear on the menu after registering them in your Pal Pad.
Choose "trade" from the options that appear after selecting your trainer of choice. Press the "X" button to trigger "Voice Chat" if you desire. At the trade window, select your Pokemon and choose the second "trade" option to confirm the exchange. After selecting your Pokemon, press the "A" button to start your trade and receive your Deoxys.
