Fun Games for DSi

The Nintendo DSi is an update of the Nintendo DS. Released in 2009, the DSi has an inbuilt camera and Wi-Fi internet access. The DSi can run all the games that were released for the DS, as well as new titles. There are thousands of games available for the DS and DSi.
  1. Chrono Trigger

    • The original "Chrono Trigger" came out in 1995 on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and has since been hailed as one of the defining role-playing games, not to mention one of the best games of all time by the likes of Gamespot. Luckily this update of the classic game for the DSi has been spruced up and given new gameplay elements that make use of the DSi's touchscreen. New game modes include a multiplayer option in which players must train up monsters and battle them against each other.

    Rhythm Heaven

    • Even though it follows in the shadow of well-respected rhythm game "Elite Beat Agents," "Rhythm Heaven" has been widely acclaimed for bringing something new to the music-game genre. Players must tap, flick and move the stylus along the touchscreen in time with the rhythm of the songs. Each song is complemented by a wacky animation and the songs are all catchy.

    Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars

    • For those who want the feel of an epic video game, look no further than "Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars." Not only is this DSi installment of the controversial and strictly not-for-children franchise great fun, it is also the most critically acclaimed according to both GameRankings and Metacritic. The game follows the same formula as all the other "Grand Theft Auto" games -- you rob, steal and kill your way to become the most powerful criminal in the city.

    New Super Mario Bros.

    • Mario returns to the DSi in "New Super Mario Bros.," a wonderfully fresh and nostalgic take on the classic side-scrolling platform game. What the game lacks in innovation it makes up for in graphics and fun. Mario and Luigi must make their way through eight worlds and more than 80 levels to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser, the arch-nemesis. In their review of the game, IGN gave the gameplay a 10 out of 10.
