How to Move the Stone on Birth Island

In "Pokemon FireRed," "Pokemon LeafGreen" and "Pokemon Emerald," Birth Island is a secret location that can only be accessed if you gain the Aurora Ticket, a promotional item from Nintendo. The S.S. Tidal in "Emerald" and the Seagallop Ferries' deck in "LeafGreen" and "FireRed" will take you to Birth Island once you have the Aurora Ticket. While there, a puzzle involving a stone can help you collect the legendary Pokemon, Deoxys. If the stone returns to its original location, you will have to start the puzzle again.

Instructions

    • 1

Approach the black stone triangle on the island and examine it. The stone will move to another location. Travel toward the stone in the least number of steps. If you do not examine the stone, it will not move.

    • 2

Approach the stone after it has moved and examine it again. If the stone returns to its original location, begin the puzzle again. You must continue to approach the stone in the fewest possible steps to make it advance to a new location. Repeat this step until the triangle changes color.

    • 3

Examine the stone. It will eventually shatter to reveal Deoxys. In "LeafGreen," Deoxys has poor attack power but strong defense ability. In "FireRed," its attack power is superior to its defense capability. In "Emerald," Deoxys' agility is superior to its defense or attack powers. Deoxys is a Psychic Pokemon. Select Pokemon for your party accordingly.
