How to Get Dome Fossils in Soul Silver

One of the several rare items in "Pokemon SoulSilver Version" are "dome fossils." They can only be found on rocks in one area. Even if you find the rocks, you will need the "Rock Smash" ability to have any chance to get a fossil. Dome fossils can be returned to the Oreburgh Museum and transformed into the Pokemon Kabuto.

Instructions

- 1
  Go to Violet City. Talk to a man wearing a pink shirt and blue overalls to the northwest of the Poke Mart. He will give you the "Rock Smash" ability.

  Travel south from Violet City and go west on Route 32. Keep going west until you see an opening surrounded by rocks. Enter this opening to reach the Ruins of Alph.

  Search the Ruins of Alph for rocks with a few small cracks on them.

  Click on one of these cracked rocks. Select "yes" when you're asked if you would like to smash this rock. There is a random chance that a dome fossil will be inside of the rock. Keep smashing rocks until you find a dome fossil.
