How to Get Dig in Soul Silver

Dig is a physical ground-type attack introduced in the second generation of Pokemon games. It originally had a base power of 60, but the fourth generation versions, including "SoulSilver," raised it to 80. On the field, Dig functions like the "Escape Rope" power so players can instantly warp to the entrance of a cave or dungeon. In battle, Dig allows a Pokemon to burrow on the first turn and attack on the next turn.

      Defeat Whitney in the Goldenrod Gym to obtain the Plain Badge. Heal your Pokemon at the Pokemon Center.

      Go north to Route 35 and defeat the trainers as they walk up to challenge you. Follow the path to reach the National Park.

      Defeat the trainers as necessary and go through the small opening in the northeast section of the fence. Follow the path west and pick up the item capsule behind the trees to obtain TM28, which contains Dig.
