How to Get Through the Ice Path

"Pokemon HeartGold" and "Pokemon SoulSilver" were released on March 14, 2010, in the U.S. and are enhanced remakes of the 1999 video games "Pokemon Gold" and "Pokemon Silver." You assume the role of a Pokemon trainer in both versions, and you capture Pokemon, earn gym badges and foil the plot of an evil syndicate called Team Rocket. You encounter the ice path on Route 44, which must be traversed before you can enter Blackthorn City.

Instructions

  Enter the ice path cave from Route 44.

  Travel north past the ice sheet until you reach a ledge with stairs.

  Go down the stairs, and travel west until you reach another ice sheet.

  Press "Up," "Left," "Up," "Left," "Down," "Left," "Up" and "Right" while on the ice sheet to slide onto dry land.

  Pick up the HM Waterfall, which appears as a Pokeball.

  Go up the nearby stairs, and head east until you reach another flight of stairs.

  Go down the stairs and down the nearby ladder.

  Head north until you see four boulders and four holes.

  Use the HM Strength, and push the boulders into the holes.

  Fall down the southeast hole onto the ice sheet.

  Slide east and then north to the ladder.

  Take one step north of the ladder, and press "Left," "Down," "North" and "Right" to slide to the center of the room with a ladder. Go down the ladder.

  Travel east until you reach the next ladder.

  Go up the ladder, and head south onto another ice sheet.

  Slide south to reach another ladder, and climb it.

  Travel west until you reach the next ladder, and climb it.

  Head south onto an ice sheet.

  Press "Down," "Left," "Down" and "Right" to talk to the kimono girl found there.

  Push her forward, and head south to exit the cave and enter Blackthorn City.
