Instructions for Cooking Mama 2

"Cooking Mama 2," released in 2007, is a cooking game for the Nintendo DS. The game is controlled with the Nintendo DS's stylus on the bottom screen. The machine's buttons are not used in any of the "Mama" game modes. The objective is to create a perfect dish from each of the 100 recipes, and not make Mama angry by making mistakes.

  Tap "Start" on the bottom screen with the stylus.

  Tap a game play option from the main menu. In "Let's Cook," the player makes preselected dishes for guests. "Cooking Contest" places the player in competition against the computer to see who can cook a dish the best.

  Use the stylus to perform the action displayed on the screen. For example, a bowl of batter may display a counter-clockwise motion. Use the stylus to spin the batter counter-clockwise. The action has to be performed within the time limit shown on the screen.

  Complete the various sections of the recipe to make the dish. Depending on the recipe, there may be as little as two sections or as many as seven. Complete current recipes successfully to unlock new dishes. The game gives players a medal based on how well the directions were followed and if they were done on time.
