How to Evolve a Machoke In Diamond & Pearl

Nintendo released the "Pokemon: Diamond" and "Pokemon: Pearl" versions for the Nintendo DS in 2007. The games offer a variety of different Pokemon to catch. A main focus of "Pokemon" games is the ability to evolve Pokemon into stronger forms. Most Pokemon evolve from experience gained from battle. However, some, like Machoke, will only evolve under special conditions. In the case of Machoke, you will need to trade him to a friend to evolve him into Machamp.

Instructions

- 1
  Travel to a Pokemon Center. The Pokemon Center is only building in the game with a bright red roof and a Pokeball on it. You can find a center i8n any town in the game.

  Travel upstairs. Speak to the woman behind the middle counter to access the Union Room. Have your friend do the same thing on his own copy of "Pokemon Diamond" or "Pokemon Pearl." As long as the two Nintendo DS are near each other, both players will be placed in the Union Room.

  Press "A" next to your friend's character. Select "Trade."

  Select your "Machoke" to trade. Have your friend select any Pokemon.

  Select "Trade." Your Machoke will be traded to your friend, and his Pokemon will be traded to you. Upon completion of the trade, your Machoke will evolve into Machamp.

  Repeat the steps to have your friend trade your Machamp back to you in exchange for his Pokemon.
