How to Modify Your Nintendo DS

The Nintendo DS is the successor to the Game Boy, the first portable device series by Nintendo to gain worldwide fame. With over 135 million DS devices sold worldwide as of February 2011 and only so many different colors, many owners may want to modify their device with a skin. Beyond personalization, skins also protect the case from buffs and scratches. Finally, once you become tired of a skin, you can replace it with another without worrying about a sticky mess.

Instructions

    • 1

Wipe away any debris or dust from the Nintendo DS with a clean rag.

    • 2

Remove the backing from the front exterior portion of the skin. Align it on the outer cover of the Nintendo DS with care. Carefully lay it down, running your finger along it to avoid creating air bubbles. Repeat with the back portion of the skin.

    • 3

Open the DS and apply the top interior portion of the skin. Take care not to stick the skin to the screen.

    • 4

Apply the final portion of the skin to the lower interior of the Nintendo DS. Take extra care with this quarter since there are numerous buttons and another screen.
