How to Create & Modify Nintendo DS Files

By default, the Nintendo DS does not recognize files created or transferred from a personal computer. Therefore, if you want to view pictures, listen to music or play homebrew DS games from a computer, you will need to modify (mod) the DS. Many DS hacks or mods require users to modify the Nintendo firmware that ships with the game device, but this voids the warranty on the unit. Another, and better, way of "modding" the Nintendo DS is by using the R4 Flashcart to temporarily mod the game console.
