Things You'll Need
Instructions
Use a screwdriver to remove the screws on the small cover found on the bottom of the DS. Remove the battery for one minute. Reinsert battery and screw back on cover. This will reset your DS.
Check to see what the power light is doing. If it is flashing slowly, it is in sleep mode. If opening the screen from that mode presents you with a blank screen, you will need to send in the device to be repaired.
Check that your rechargeable battery isn't dead. Plug the DS into a power outlet using the power adaptor provided with the device. If the orange charging light comes on, then the DS is now recharging. Wait for the DS to recharge -- this can take up to four hours. The orange light will switch off when the battery is fully charged. Unplug the DS and try switching it on to see if it works.
Contact Nintendo if the DS is still not booting up. Send in the unit to be repaired.
