How to Get a Game on the SD Card to the DSi

The Nintendo DSi is a portable gaming system released in 2009. It features two displays, a touchscreen and an SD card slot. Inserting an SD card into the system will greatly increase its storage capacity. The SD card allows users to store games, music, images and video files in a external format for ease of access. Stored games can be accessed and copied into system memory right from the main menu of the system, which provides ample opportunity to organize your downloaded content.

     Insert your SD card into your DSi's SD card slot. The slot is located on the left side of the device.

     Power on the DSi and select "Settings" from the system menu.

     Tap "Data Management" then select "SD Card."

     Highlight any DSi games you wish to play or copy to your DSi, then select "Copy." This will copy the game to the DSi's internal memory. The game can be played by highlighting it and pressing "A" from the system menu.
