How to Hack Pokemon Pearl

Navigate to the Project Pokemon page and click the download link next to "D/P" located underneath the language of your choice. Right-click the downloaded file and select "Extract All." Then choose any folder you want the contents to be unzipped to and press "OK."

Double-click the "Pokesav D&P - Project Pokemon.exe" file to start the program. Click "Open" and select the "Pokemon Pearl" savegame that is going to be used to hack the game. If you are playing the game on an emulator on your computer, the save file will be located in the "SAV" folder of the directory where the emulator is installed. If you are playing the game on a Nintendo DS, you will need to transfer the file to computer use hardware like a "Flashcart" or "Gameshark." Refer to the documentation of your device to see how this can be done. Make a backup copy of the save file so that you can revert back to it if anything goes wrong.

Click "Edit" next to the Pokêmon that you want to hack from the "Party Edit" menu of "Pokesav." This will bring up a new screen where you can change virtually anything about the Pokémon. Click on the drop-down menu next to "Moves," for example, to give the Pokémon any attack in the game, even ones that this type of Pokémon cannot learn or use under normal circumstances.

Click "OK" when you are finished editing the Pokêmon to return to the main program screen. From here you can edit another Pokêmon in your party or hack other elements of the game by clicking the "Edit" button next to the name of what you are going to change. You can change your characters name, give yourself unlimited cash, change the playtime and fill your characters backpack with any items you want.

Click "Save" when you are happy with the hack, then transfer the savegame back to the "SAV" folder or DS. Start the game, load your save file and you will see that all the hacks you implemented will be working.
