How to Make Pokemon on Pearl Shiny Using the Action Replay

Action Replay is a device by Datel that you can use to cheat. The device is a small cartridge (there are different ones for each system) that you insert into the console, and you then type in specific codes to allow different cheats or glitches for specific games to make the experience more interesting or easier. If you have "Pokemon Pearl," a popular Action Replay code is one that allows both your Pokemon and wild ones to have glittery stars around them, making them "shiny."

  Insert the "Pokemon Pearl" cartridge into the top of the Action Replay cartridge. The top of the "Pokemon Pearl" cartridge will be sticking out of the Action Replay cartridge.

  Insert the Action Replay cartridge into the Nintendo DS until it clicks. The "Pokemon Pearl" logo should be facing you.

  Open your Nintendo DS, and turn it on. The name and version of the cartridge inserted in the Action Replay cartridge will be shown on the DS screen.

  Tap the star on the lower-left corner of the "Start" screen.

  Select "<Add new code>."

  Enter "12068AC6 60000460". Save the code.

  Select the code after it has been added. The game will open.

  Open your trainer's card.

  Press the "R" and "A" buttons simultaneously. Any Pokemon you encounter, including your own, will now be shiny.
