How to Max a Pokemon's Stats With Pokemon Pearl Action Replay Cheats

Leveling up your pokemon is an integral part of "Pokemon: Pearl," as by leveling them up, you increase their potency in battle. These increased fighting prowess are reflected by the pokemon's growing stats, such as defense and speed. The higher these stats, the more effective the pokemon is in combat. You can artificially increase these numbers using Action Replay. Although it will not directly change your pokemon's stats, Action Replay can give you an infinite number of items which will. For instance, the item "Iron" will increase a pokemon's defense. Give a pokemon 255 of them to max its defense.

  Insert your Action Replay into a computer USB port and then put the Action Replay installation software into your CD or DVD-ROM. Install the "Action Replay Manager" onto your computer.

  Open the "Action Replay Manager" and right-click in the field beneath "My Codelists." Select the "Add new cheat" option. This will open a new window in which you can enter Action Replay codes. Enter one quoted code per line. For instance, "12084576 000046C0" would go on one line and then "12084AFC 000020XX" would go on the next.

  Enter the codes "12084576 000046C0" and "12084AFC 000020XX" to get the item "HP up," which increases your pokemon's hit points. The more hit points your pokemon has, the more it can be struck before it falls unconscious.

  Use the codes "120845E2 000046C0" and "12084B5C 000020XX" to get protein, which increases your pokemon's attack. The higher your pokemon's attack, the more damage it will deal when using a standard punch or bite.

  Type "1208464E 000046C0" and "12084BBC 000020XX" to get iron, which increases your pokemon's defense. The higher its defense is, the more resilient you pokemon will be to attacks. Think of defense as armor that will prevent your pokemon from getting hurt.

  Enter "120846BC 000046C0" and "12084C1C 000020XX" to get carbos, which increase speed. The higher a pokemon's speed, the sooner it acts during combat.

  Use the codes "1208472A 000046C0" and "12084C7C 000020XX" to get calcium, which increases "special attack." Every pokemon has several special attack abilities, such as throwing lightening bolts or summoning whirlpools. The higher special attack is, the more effective these abilities become.

  Type "12084796 000046C0" and "12084CDC 000020XX" to get zinc, which improves special defense. The higher this stat is, the more resilient your pokemon is to special attack moves such as lightening bolts and whirlpools.

  Insert the Action Replay into your DS and then start "Pokemon: Pearl." The items will now be in your inventory.

  Feed the food items to your pokemon to increase its stats. Note that stats max out at 255.
