How to Fix Your Action Replay for the DS When It Says Unknown Game for Every Game

The Action Replay device for the Nintendo DS allows users to cheat with an unlimited amount of games. For a number of reasons, however, the Action Replay device can become corrupted and the device will give an "Unknown Game" error message. This message will appear even when you have had ID codes for game already installed in the device. Fixing this problem is simple but requires you to wipe the Action Replay device of it's code list.

  • Action Replay software

Instructions

      Put the Action Replay device into the Nintendo DS.

      Turn on the Nintendo DS.

      Press and hold down the "A" and "B" buttons immediately.

      Press and hold down the "Start" and "Select" buttons as the Action Replay license screen loads. You should be holding down four buttons at this point.

      Wait about 10 seconds. The Action Replay menu screen should load and it should tell you that you have "0" codes.

      Hook up the Action Replay device to your PC using the USB cable that came with it.

      Use the Action Replay software installed on your computer to download the codes back onto the device.
