How to Throw Special Punches on the Wii Remote for Punch-Out!!

Little Mac, the main character in "Punch-Out!!" for the Nintendo Wii, has an arsenal of hooks, jabs and uppercuts similar to any professional boxer in real life. However, Little Mac has a secret weapon that no other boxer does: a special punch known as a star punch. By accumulating stars during a fight, Little Mac can unleash a powerful attack on his opponents known as a star punch. The more stars Little Mac has accumulated, the more powerful the star punch. Knowing the best time to use the punch is as important as knowing how to actually use it.

Instructions

- 1
  Counter-punch your opponent by punching him just as he is about to punch you. You are rewarded one star for each counter-punch, with Little Mac able to hold up to three stars total.

  Punch your opponent after a missed attack to stun him. Stunning your opponent enables you to use your star punch without having to worry that your opponent will dodge it or punch you during the star punch animation.
- 3
  Press the "A" or "-" buttons on your Wii Remote to use the star punch. The star punch will use all currently earned stars and, if the punch connects with your opponent, will cause a large amount of damage to him.
