How to Install USB Loader GX Channels

If you have a jailbroken Wii console, you can install additional channels that appear will on the Wii's main menu, giving you quick access to the homebrew features that you use the most. One such channel is the "USB Loader GX" channel, which allows you to launch homebrew games that are stored on an external USB hard drive. If you want to install this channel on your Wii system, you can do so with the "Wad Manager" in the "Homebrew" channel.

  Open a Web browser and navigate to Usbloadergx.koureio.net. Click the "Downloads" option and click the download link that corresponds to the latest version of the USB Loader GX channel.

  Insert the jailbroken Wii's SD card into the computer's SD card reader. Click the "Start" button in the computer's taskbar and select the "Computer" option. Double-click the SD card's removable storage device icon to view its root folder.

  Double-click the "wad" folder and drag the WAD file you downloaded in step one into the folder. Right-click on the SD card's removable storage device icon and select the "Eject" option. Remove the SD card from the computer's SD card reader.

  Insert the SD card into the Wii system's SD card slot. Turn on the Wii console and select the "Homebrew Channel" from the system's main menu. Select the "Wad Manager" option from the menu and select the "Load" option.

  Read the disclaimer and press the "A" button to continue. Press the "Right" button on the D-Pad until the "IOS249" option is selected and press the "A" button. Press the "Right" button on the D-Pad until the "Wii SD Slot" option is selected and press the "A" button.

  Select the "wad" folder and press the "A" button. Select the WAD file you placed on the SD card in the third step and press the "A" button. Press the "Right" button on the D-Pad until the "Install WAD" option is selected, then press the "A" button.

  Press any button once the installation is finished to return to the Wii system's main menu and view the newly installed channel.
