How to Hook a Wii Up to a Homegroup for File Share

Windows includes built-in support for home groups on your network so you can share files quickly between the computers in your home or office. If you have a jailbroken Wii, you can use the home group to share files with your gaming console. Adjust the settings of your homegroup so you can add additional devices, such as your Nintendo Wii, to the homegroup.

      Click "Start" and click "Control Panel." Click the "Search" field and type "home group." Click the "HomeGroup" option in the list of results.

      Click "Create A HomeGroup." Click "Next" in the wizard window that appears and click "Finish" to create a HomeGroup. The HomeGroup settings window appears once the HomeGroup is created.

      Click the checkbox for the files you want to share with your Wii. Click the checkbox in the "Share Media With Devices" section to open your HomeGroup to your Nintendo Wii.

      Click "Start" and click "Computer." Click the "Local Disk" folder and click the file you want to share with your Wii. Click the "Share With" option and click "Specific People" in the context menu that appears. Click the "Nintendo Wii" option and click "Share."
