Statue Smells
When you make your way down to the first floor of the Kunka Ruins, you'll find a closed door at the north end of the map. Two pedestals sit beside each end of the door and when you approach it your helper Petasi will teach you the smells of the gold and silver dog statues. You can use these to help find the statues. When you collect and place them on the two pedestals, the door will open, allowing you to get the Sniff Master medal.
Gold Dog Statue
Starting form the door where the two dog statues go, follow the hallway to the east, going left to the northeast corner of the floor. At the end you'll come to a closed door. Here, learn the smell for the "switch for door A." Now, follow the hallway back, but go to the area with the entrance to the floor. Follow the path at the southeast corner of the hub to a room with a cobra. At the back corner of the room, you'll smell the switch; press it to open the closed door you found earlier. Return to this opened room to get the gold dog statue.
Silver Dog Statue
Starting from the door where the two dog statues go, follow the hallway to the west with the pillars on either side. This hallway leads around to a room with vines being blocked by a cobra. Either stun it or walk around it; then search the left wall of vines to find a secret door. Go through, sniff around the small room and you'll eventually get the silver dog statue. On your map, this room is the big black box.
Enemies
The ruins are filled with enemy cobras. You can stun them to keep them from attacking you. When you find one, keep your distance to keep it calm. Watch it and eventually it will fall asleep. Approach it slowly so you do not wake it up, getting as close as you can. Howl at the sleeping cobra to stun it. This knocks it out so you can run away and continue searching for the gold and silver dog statues.
