How to Find the Skeleton Key on Wii Haunted House

For those who loved the original "Haunted Mansion" game for the Atari 2600, the 2011 release of an updated version of the game for the Nintendo Wii was a welcome addition to the video game world. According to IGN's review of the new game, the characters are the grandchildren of the original character from the 1982 version of the Atari game. Once again, you are on a quest to find the four pieces of the missing magical urn, but to advance through the house, you must locate the skeleton key.

Instructions

  Use the cell phone light to search the first room of the mansion. The light will illuminate the room so that you can see objects such as the skeleton key and move more easily through the game. Push the "A" button on the Wii remote to trigger the light on the cell phone.

  Seek additional lighting sources. You may run into a ghost. The ghost will take your cell phone, and you'll need a new light to finish your hunt for the skeleton key. Move up on the screen until you come to the doorway with a light on either side of it. Go through the doorway and then move up and to the right. You'll come to a desk with a lamp on it. Search the desk for matches.

  Move to the next room and look for a set of shelves. The shelves appear slightly crooked. You will locate more matches on the shelves. Continue using matches by pushing the ̶0;A̶1; button on the remote, and search the smaller set of shelves just to the left. The skeleton key is on the second, shorter set of shelves.
