How to Get the Spell to Open the Door on Harry Potter for the Wii

In "LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4," a third-person action game for the Nintendo Wii, Harry Potter has access to all of the spells he has learned during the first four years of his schooling at Hogwarts. Spells such as Wingardium Leviosa can be used to levitate objects while spells such as Reducto can be used to destroy objects. Throughout the game there are large silver locks on many doors that prevent access. Harry must learn the Reducto spell during his fourth year at Hogwarts so he can destroy the silver locks and open the doors.

Instructions

- 1
  Complete the Dragons level, which is the second level in the fourth year. After the level is complete, you are taken back to Harry's dormitory room at Hogwarts.

  Follow the ghost to reach the Defense of the Dark Arts classroom. A short interactive movie plays showing you how to use the Reducto spell. After the interactive movie, you must rescue five students trapped underneath silver rubble.

  Destroy the rubble on top of the five students using the Reducto spell. After rescuing the students, Harry and his friend can now call on the Reducto spell at any time.

  Press and hold the "C" button on the controller to activate the spell wheel. Select "Reducto" from the spell list.

  Press the "Z" key to use Reducto. When the spell is used on a silver lock on a door, the lock is destroyed and the door opens, revealing new areas to explore.
